Née en 1958 à St-Honoré de Shenley en Beauce, elle fait
partie d’une famille musicienne et artistique. D’abord peintre autodidacte, elle
a commencé sa quête artistique vers 1984. Elle a débuté par des cours à l’huile
avec Hugues Voyer et Hans Peter Beer, une formation en acrylique avec Alain
Fortin, une session de portrait au pastel avec Michel Bélanger, pour ensuite
découvrir lors de diverses formations l’aquarelle avec Sophie Paquet, Chantal
Angers et Olivier Toupin. C’est en 1993 qu’elle décide de poursuivre un
certificat en arts visuels de l’UQTR donné à St-Georges de Beauce. Elle a étudié
sous la direction de Lucienne Cornet, Richard Normandin et Jean Letarte entre
autres.
Louise habite maintenant à Beauceville en Beauce, où elle
poursuit une carrière d’enseignante en anglais tout en peignant assidûment. Elle
a participe à plusieurs expositions collectives, et ses œuvres se retrouvent
chez plusieurs collectionneurs privés. Certaines de ces œuvres se retrouvent en
Ontario, au Manitoba, aux États-Unis et en France.
Born in 1958 in St-Honoré de Shenley in Beauce, Louise is a
member of an artistic and musician family. She started as a self-taught artist
then followed fine art courses in oil with Hughes Voyer and Hans Peter Beer, in
acrylics with Alain Fortin; in pastel with Michel Bélanger and finally in
watercolors with Sophie Paquet, Chantal Angers, Olivier Toupin. From 1993-1997,
she improved her knowledge as she took a fine art certificate at Université du
Québec à Trois-Rivières under the direction of Lucienne Cornet, Richard
Normandin, Jean Letarte and more.
Now living in Beauceville in Beauce where she paints while
fulfilling her professional duties in the education field, Louise has
participated in many art shows and a number of her watercolors have been
acquired by private collectors. Some of her paintings can be found in Ontario,
Manitoba, Alberta, the United States and France.
